The following set of art pieces are from my concentration series created in my Advanced Placement art class my senior year of high school. I was inspired by Frida Kahlo’s self portraits and belief that “I am the person I know best.” I sought to showcase my experience as a teenager in todays digital era. I was able to use art as a way to stay grounded in my past, focus on my hopes for the future, goals and simple joys from my day to day experiences; art and these self portraits lent me a different perspective to view my life from. The order each piece is presented in is important in depicting a relative timeline through which each piece was made, revised and finished.
